Thesis// Woodlands in a box_

The concept of this project is to develop a prototype multisensory play set for dyslexic individuals. The set integrates both learning and playing into one, it allows each individual to absorb information at their own pace, making their learning experience pleasurable and impactful, as well as inspiring their creativity.

Multisensory Sandpaper letters set// Based on the Montessori’s sandpaper letters training method. The original Montessori sandpaper method encourages a child to trace alphabets that are made out of sandpaper, and practice writing the letter on sand. This will help the child in learning the sound and shape of the letters, gaining muscular memory to help them recognize the language.

'Woodlands in a box' gave the method a little twist, and that is by replacing sand to food powder. This way, a child will have an additional sensory experience while learning. They can now see their alphabets, feel their alphabets, and most important of all, TASTE their alphabets. Let's bring fun back to learning!
